Usage

Yes, the CO2 cylinders can be used with all water carbonation devices, including SodaStream, Aarke, Drinkmate and others.

However, if you have a new-generation Pink Systems model, you will have to buy the Connect-Indigo adapter to connect your Indigo Soda cylinder to the device.

Indigo Soda CO2 cylinders are weighted in our refilling stations in order to make sure that they contain the right CO2 quantity at conditioning stage. Unfortunately, a defective cylinder may happen. That rare situation leads into a slow loss of CO2 during storage or transportation. In such case, do not hesitate to return it to your exchange location.

Find your exchange location

This phenomenon happens when the main valve of the cylinder is defective. The spare valve is then released and will completely empty the CO2.

The noise produced and freeze which will appear on the cylinder can be surprising, but do not worry. Bring the defective cylinder back to your exchange location.

The CO2 cylinders should be stored away from direct sunlight to a temperature lower than 50 °C.

Check if the CO2 cylinder is empty. If so, use a new cylinder.

Check if the CO2 cylinder is correctly installed in its receptacle. If needed, tighten it manually.

The cylinder may be too cold. Wait that it reaches ambient temperature.

The drink may be too hot. Use a fresher liquid, the colder the better.

It is possible that CO2 does not mix well with the drink. Shake the bottle and wait for 10 seconds so the CO2 finishes to mix with the liquid.

Try to press the trigger or carbonation button of your water carbonation system longer to release more CO2.

Check if the CO2 cylinder is correctly installed in its receptacle. If needed, tighten it manually.

If you do not get enough sparkle and if you do not hear a spray noise when you press the trigger or the carbonation button of your carbonation system, it may be because your CO2 cylinder is empty.

Obtain a full CO2 cylinder in your local exchange location

Do not worry, this phenomenon is totally normal and safe. Ice will simply melt and make your drink still colder and refreshing!

You can reduce the duration of each time you press the trigger or carbonation button of your carbonation system until ice stops to appear.

There is no universal answer to this question! Although our 60-litre cylinder produces in average up to 60 litres of carbonated water, the frequency to which you need to refill your cylinder depends on the carbonation level you use.

If you exchange your CO2 bottle more often than you would like, try to reduce the number of times you press the carbonation button of your system and the duration of every press.

Indigo Soda CO2 cylinders are completely safe in your home. They are made according to strict safety specifications in order to protect our customers. They are safe in virtually any altitude.

Our CO2 cylinders are especially equipped with a spare valve whose role is to release CO2 safely in the event (unlikely) where pressure in the CO2 cylinder would exceed indicated levels.

Make sure you store your CO2 cylinder in a fresh and dry environment. Put it away from direct sunlight. The CO2 cylinder must not be close to occasional heat sources (e.g. long transportation in the car trunk) or placed near heat sources (as oven, stove or chimney).

CO2 in the cylinder does not expire, but cylinders are inspected and certified for quality assurance purposes.

We do not take returns or offer refunds on CO2 gas cylinders, but it is possible to exchange empty cylinders for full ones. We are responsible for replacing items only if they are defective or damaged. We will cover return and related fees for exchanges due to a product defect.

When a CO2 cylinder is used up, you can simply exchange it for a full Indigo Soda in one of our exchange locations. Use our geographic search tool to find an exchange location near you.

Unfortunately it is not possible to exchange or refill your cylinder at Indigo Soda’s head office since we have no facilities on site. Please check where is the nearest exchange location for you.

Yes, it’s possible to exchange any other brand’s traditional (twist) cylinder for an Indigo Soda cylinder. 

The next time you visit one of our exchange locations, bring in your empty cylinder and exchange it for a local and eco-friendly CO2 cylinder.

Compatibility

Yes, the CO2 cylinders can be used with all water carbonation devices, including SodaStream, Aarke, Drinkmate and others.

However, if you have a new-generation Pink Systems model, you will have to buy the Connect-Indigo adapter to connect your Indigo Soda cylinder to the device.

Indigo soda cylinders are compatible with all water carbonation devices. Cylinders with a TR21-4 valve for traditional twist devices are compatible with our cylinders without the need for an adapter.

However, if you have a new-generation Pink Systems device, you will need a Connect-Indigo adapter to use our Indigo Soda cylinders.

Connect-Indigo

The Connect-Indigo adapter allows you to keep using your CO2 cylinders even if you have a new carbonation device with a Quick-Connect nozzle. 

Don’t let your carbonation device limit your options! If you have the Pink Systems model, you can simply buy an adapter for the Indigo Soda cylinders. That way, you’re free to buy the cylinder of your choice at the best price.

If your carbonation device uses the traditional (twist) technology, you don’t need the Connect-Indigo adapter, which is used only with the new-generation Pink Systems models.

When you subscribe to the Bubble Plan, it is only possible to return your cylinders with home pickup. That being said, a return label is included in the cost of your subscription. You receive it at the same time as your order. We do so to facilitate the return of the cylinders to Indigo Soda.
